Well, after the beer hit a few pubs in the North East and Cardiff last week, it continues to make its way around the country. We're in the situation now where we cannot keep track of all the pubs that have it (it now gets distributed by the distributors) but we did have a lovely tweet from the Templar Hotel in Leeds who took a delivery last week and are very excited about serving it up. By all accounts, it's a great community pub! I'll be sure to make my way there for a sneaky snorkel or two.

We should have more information about the bottled beers this Thursday. Poor old Louise at the brewery has been having a torrid time of it (and not in the '50 Shades' way,) but she tells me it is almost sorted. Anyway, buy a t-shirt and head to these places in the next week or so:

The Tapas Bar, Darlington
The Old Mill Metal Bridge, Durham
Bowes Incline, Gateshead
Turbinia Newton, Aycliffe
Shoes Bar, Newcastle
Lady Greys, Newcastle
Pleased to meet you, Newcastle

The bank holiday weekend got off to a flyer yesterday in Cardiff when HOPE not hate activists joined their local MP and Thompsons Solicitors for a day of action followed by some relaxation and a lovely pint or two of Brigadista Ale.brig3.jpgActivists went the Chapter Arts Centre where our beer was given its first airing and the assembled tipplers were very, very impressed. Labour MP Jo Stevens tweeted "I recommend you try @BrigadistaAle a very decent pint." Steve Cavalier, the Chief Executive of Trade Union solicitors Thompsons Law, also tweeted how proud he was to help launch the beer. After watching Tottenham drop points in the title race earlier the week, it must've felt like a rare ray of sunshine for poor Steve. Still, we promise not to mention football again. But let's hope Leicester do the job today at Old Trafford...brig2.jpg

Those lovely people up at Blackhill have been working around the clock producing our lovely beverage and it rolls out next week around the North East before finally making its way around the country.  the first pubs to get Brigadista are listed below and then the week after, another thirty pubs (that we know of!) take it. There's still some left in Cardiff, get down there and have a taste while it lasts!

If you're looking forward to getting your hands on a pint of Brigadista, now is the time to start asking your friendly Landlord/Landlady to get it in!  It's looking good for Northern Ireland (more on that later) and we have Yorkshire and the North East already covered. In London and the South East, people need to contact AVS while in Brighton, Portsmouth & Southampton, people need to contact Oakleaf Brewing Company in Gosport.
