And now we are launched and ready for Love Union week..

Well, we launched our new ale 'Trade Union Pale Ale (TUPA)' last weekend in some style, with over eighty Trade Unionists joining us in East London (Brick Lane to be exact) for a night of curry and ale and it became a night of curry, ale and song! The FBU's General Secretary Matt Wrack dazzled us all with a superb rendition of the ballad of Casey Jones, followed by Steve Hedley of the RMT who contributed a song about Irish volunteers in the Spanish Civil War.

For us the day started a little earlier when we had to help load a van with casks of our beer for delivery to the restaurant, but we were well rewarded when (after some begging) a few of the limited edition bottles of TUPA were opened as a reward for our heard work! (Those casks weigh a hell of a lot by the way!)

The FBU's Matt Wrack- singer and model too!

We would like to thank everybody who came and made it a magnificent evening. There were people there from all of the sponsoring Trade Unions (TSSA, ASLEF, RMT, GMB, FBU and Thompsons Solicitors) and even welcome guests from Unison and Unite also.

They got pissed and nicked the posters, too!

ASLEF brought their banner and an MP with them. Very welcome they all were too, even if they declined to sing us a song.

The beer is currently making its way around the country as there are a couple more launches, but we have a few casks of our fine ale still left in London. So, here is the deal; get your pub/social club/licensed venue to get in contact with us and we'll even driver it over and deliver it to them (in London) and we'll make sure by the power of social media that Trade Unionists (and there are quite a few of us) know where it is at!

Home delivery of cans will begin in the next month or so- we can deliver these all over the country!

This is a Trade Union beer, so if you are a Trade Unionist and want to help raise funds for the causes we hold dear, talk to your landlord or landlady about getting in some TUPA.  We're pleased to announce that The Cock Tavern in Hackney (Mare Street, E8 1EJ) has already taken us up on the offer and we'll be letting you know as soon as it is tapped and ready to be respectfully consumed!
